2013 Camps
This President's Week (February 18–22) and Spring Break (March 25–29), we'll be offering our week-long Stars (3–5 yrs.) and Superstars (K–5th grade) camps. These holiday camps are structured as daily camps where we introduce campers to a different Broadway show each day, which makes it easy for campers to join us by the day or for the whole week!
Then, this summer (June 10–August 30), we'll be offering 12 week-long Stars and Superstars camps.
Last but not least, our older kids (4th–9th grade) will have the chance to join us for a week-long workshop (July 15–19), or a 3-week workshop where they'll work on a full-length musical!
Click on the headings below for more details.
Stars Camp (3-5 yrs.*)
Every morning (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM) our fabulous teachers will introduce music and theater to your child and put the spotlight on them! Your child's day will include acting games, dance classes, singing, and arts & crafts. (During the summer, we'll also spend time at the Harbor Island Park, located right across the street.) On Friday, there'll be a special performance for parents and friends to showcase what was learned during the week. If your child loves to perform, and you want to keep them busy during vacation, then join us for Stars Camp! (*Students must be potty-trained.) To register by the day for our President's Week or Spring Break camps, call us at (914) 835-2200!
Superstars Camp (K – 5th Grade*)
For five and a half hours every day (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM), your children will arrive and attend theater classes all day long. Each day your child will cycle through classes such as acting, singing, audition technique, hip-hop, costume design, and so much more. (During the summer, there'll be outdoor time every day at Harbor Island Park located right across the street!) At the end of the week, there'll be a special performance for parents and friends. If you're looking for something to do for your child while they're not in school, then this is the place to be! (*Students will be divided by age group.) To register by the day for our President's Week or Spring Break camps, call us at (914) 835-2200!
Summer Workshops (4th – 9th Grade)
The Applause Weekend Workshops comes to CAMP! During our special 1-week workshop, campers will rehearse and perform scenes and songs from a popular Broadway show, while also taking classes in acting, singing, theater dance, and hip-hop.
Looking for alternatives to sleep-away camp that still provides an amazing theater experience? Then join us at Applause Westchester for our 3-week Middle School Theater Intensive. For 3 weeks (Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM), students will audition for and rehearse a complete book show that culminates in two performances. The shows will be attended by industry professionals such as agents, managers, and casting directors looking for fresh, new talent. Students will learn acting, singing, and dance technique while also learning what it takes to put on a full-length musical. Rehearsals will be held in our beautiful, state-of-the-art Harbor View Studio. (Parents should provide lunch and a snack for their child.)
