Claire Simard is thrilled to be joining the very talented team at Applause! As a singer and actress, Claire has performed in world premieres of War Brides and Christmas Interruptus, in regional theater (Signature Theater, Arena Stage), and in opera (Bronx Opera, Underworld Productions). As a pianist and music director, Claire has performed at the Struthers Library Theater and Ridgefield Playhouse. She has a private voice studio and is on the faculty at Concordia Conservatory, where she wrote and directed two original childrens’ musicals, Lost! and Look Before You Eat with composer Matt Van Brink. Claire lives in Westchester and is the proud and tired mommy of her daughter Amelie. She holds a B.M. in Voice from Catholic University, and has done graduate studies at Brooklyn Conservatory and La Sorbonne in Paris, France.
