Maureen Russell

Singing Director

Maureen is a seasoned instructor with Broadway Babies, and is continually delighted to combine her gift of music with her love for children. As head of the singing program for Broadway Superstars, she created and developed a performance-based singing class, using her own fun approach to teach kids to appreciate and perform in all different styles of music. She also offers private voice lessons for students who are ready to get more focused on their singing. Maureen currently sings with The Jumpers, The Classix, and other bands who frequent Manhattan’s pop venue. She launched her singer/songwriter show in 2007, and is currently recording her debut solo album featuring drummer husband Joe Kross. Maureen earned her degree in Musical Theatre from the University of Northern Colorado, and performed for two years as the lead singer aboard Holland America Cruise Line, touring Northern Europe, the Eastern seaboard, the Caribbean, Mexico and Hawaii. Regionally she has appeared at the Goodspeed Opera House in The Baker’s Wife, the workshop premier of Fishwrap at the Adirondack Theatre Festival, and in Titanic at Maine State Music Theatre.
