Melanie Titus

Hip-Hop Teacher

Melanie is so excited to have been given the opportunity to develop the Broadway Babies Hip-Hop program! She considers this an opportunity to give children the chance to experience the joys of dance much like she does. Born in Wisconsin, Melanie is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point where she received a B.F.A. in musical theatre. Since moving to New York, she has taught at numerous studios around the city including Broadway Dance Center (jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, triple threat), Steps on Broadway (pre-dance, hip-hop, jazz), Brooklyn Music School (jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, reparatory) and Discovery Programs (pre-dance, jazz and ballet). Last summer Melanie was inspired by dancing with judges from the hit show So You Think You Can Dance! Melanie is a recent graduate from the Dance Education Laboratory (DEL) at The Harkness Dance Center (92nd Street Y). Some of her favorite performing roles include Snow White (Snow White), Aysha (Children of Eden), and Robin (Godspell).
