Our Superstars classes (K-6th Grade) are devoted to helping children explore all aspects of the performing arts. Each of our classes specializes in teaching specific skills. Students can take a class or classes based on the interest. We offer classes in:
- Musical Theater Performance
- Singing
- Acting
- Dance
- Hip-Hop
- Pop-Star Singing and Dancing
Each class has multiple teachers so students get individualized, focused attention. Additionally, all musical classes have live piano accompaniment.
The purpose of the Superstars classes is to encourage an environment where children can be creative, feel safe enough to take risks, and truly be themselves. Each class has a fully developed curriculum that becomes more rigorous as the children get older and become more advanced. We want to challenge our students and help them strive to achieve more than they thought they could!
Many of our Superstars classes are performance-based whereby each class performs at the end of the semester in front of over 500 people. Although we focus on the learning process throughout the semester, the performance gives our students a chance to apply what they have learned and have a full-rounded experience on the stage. The performance also gives our students a chance to see their hard work pay off and lets them feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the semester.
Our curriculum is designed so that each student has a chance to get to know all the other students in the class so that they can be part of an ensemble. We want our students to feel comfortable enough to perform in front of each other every week. A typical class starts with general group games to warm everyone up, then moves onto smaller group-based exercises, and then each student will have the chance to receive some individual coaching.
We want our students coming out of a semester having had a great time, feeling self-confident, able to present themselves in front of a group, and prepared to be in any kind of show!
