ADC Elite Competition Team (Supreme, Ultimate, Premier) (4th-12th Grade)
ADC Elite is a team of the most dedicated and passionate young dancers willing to push themselves to the max each and every week. This intensive program provides serious dancers with accelerated training, cutting edge hip hop and jazz choreography, and exposure to the world of professional dance through regional competitions and community performances. Elite team training focuses on strength, conditioning, technical precision, showmanship, artistry, and the execution of choreography. Each semester includes at least one regional dance competition.
This class is by audition only. Please call 212-717-0703 to schedule an audition.
Returning Elite Team members do not need to re-audition to register, but may be asked to join the placement audition before the semester begins to determine which team they will be competing with.

- Competition Weekend Requirement:
Students MUST be available for the ENTIRE competition weekend to be eligible for the program. - Conflict/Contact Form:
Parents must fill out a Conflict/Contact form with their child’s scheduled rehearsal conflicts and return it to Applause prior to the first day of class, communicating in advance all absences (if any) for the semester. These will be considered excused. - Attendance Policy:
- Please keep excused absences to 1 or 0 for the semester.
- More than 1 excused absence may result in removal from sections of the routine that are missed.
- Any absences not communicated in advance on the Conflict/Contact form will be considered unexcused.
- 1 unexcused absence may result in removal from sections of the routine that are missed.
- More than 1 unexcused absence will result in removal from the ADC Elite Competition Team.
- Private Lessons:
There are no make-up classes for the ADC Elite Competition Program. We encourage your child to attend all classes. Private lessons are available for an additional charge if extra help is needed to catch up on choreography. However, absences will likely affect a student’s placement in formations in the routine, in the best interest of the team’s ability to practice/rehearse together. - Student and Parent Conduct Expectations:
Applause reserves the right to dismiss a student, without refund, whose conduct or influence (including conduct or influence of a parent), in the opinion of the Program Director, is not in the best interests of the class. - Placement Policy:
- Once auditions are completed and a dancer is accepted/registered, they are officially part of the ADC Elite Competition Team. A placement evaluation will determine which team is the best fit. Placement decisions are final and will not be changed once determined by the Elite Manager. We carefully consider each dancer’s skills, strengths, and overall development to ensure the best possible experience and success for each student.
- Dress Code:
- Students must wear all black to each class.
- All dancers should have athletic sneakers or jazz sneakers, preferably in black. White, silver, or gray accents are acceptable.
- Uniform ADC teamwear will be required for all competition weekends. Teamwear options will be available for purchase via links provided by the ADC Elite Competition Team Coordinator.
- Financial Responsibilities:
- Parents are responsible for all competition fees, including but not limited to: costume fees, entry fees, and media packets.
- Parents are also responsible for travel, meals/snacks during competitions, and helping their child at the competition (chaperoning, hair, makeup, etc.).
- Eligibility:
- To participate on the Elite Competition Team, students must be registered for the Applause Dance Company (ADC) or a technique class for the semester. Dancers must meet a certain number of training hours per week to compete in certain categories. These requirements are in place to ensure that all competitors receive the necessary technical training to perform at their best, and adherence to them will be a priority going forward.

A $30.00 fee will be charged for each check returned from the bank for any reason. - Code of Conduct:
